Apadrinaunolivo.org is a non-profit association that works against generational replacement and the serious fires that the Abrantes region is suffering, through the recovery and maintenance of abandoned centenary olive trees.
We help your company to generate a positive impact on the rural environment by working in these three areas:
Maintaining an olive grove.
Throughout Portugal, we estimate that there are more than 2,000 hectares of abandoned agricultural land with trees and crops that are dying because no one takes care of them. By sponsoring an olive grove, your company contributes to fighting climate change, protecting biodiversity and generating employment.
Offset a tonne of CO2
Planting new trees is necessary, but we must not forget to take care of the ones we already have. The abandonment and death of a tree releases CO2 into the atmosphere and destroys ecosystems. You can sponsor the recovery of an olive grove, thus mitigating your carbon footprint.
